Description

William Williamson (Kirkcaldy), 1905 with additions to
rear by T M Cappon to Williamson's design. 2-storey and
attic Cape Dutch style villa. Harled with ashlar cills
and skews.
S elevation: symmetrical 3-bay. Central 3-storey tower
with shaped gable, corbelled out above eaves, timber oriel
in attic, 1st floor basket-arched French window with
fanlight and ornate cast-iron balcony (dated 1905), ground
floor formerly trellissed. Flanking 3-light ground floor
bows, shaped parapets with ball finials, triple lights
over with swept eaves.
N elevation: twin curvilinear gables. Right canted bay
rises through 2 storeys, shaped parapet with ball finials.
Oriel at left over round-headed door and window. E elevation
similar, but 3-bay, right gable advanced, ground floor
window altered. Wing extended to N by Cappon, square-
headed windows and gablet.
N elevation: E wing advanced with curvilinear gable and
ball finials. Bowed entrance bay with depressed arch door,
triple light over.
Piended and gabled red tiled roof, swept with overhanging
eaves. Harled stacks. Small-paned casement windows, leaded
glass oriels.
Interior altered.
Red brick boundary walls. Square timber gazebo with
pyramidal red tiled roof.
