Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey, single bay classical terraced building with commercial premises at ground floor. Painted ashlar. Eaves course; cornice; balustraded parapet.

SE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: entrance to outer right; glazed timber door; letterbox fanlight; shop window to left. Tripartite, consoled pedimented window at 1st floor; apron.

Shop window at ground floor; fixed timber window at 1st floor. Grey slate roof; coped stack to right; circular cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1998.

Statement of Interest

Distinctive lower height, narrow single bay building in this predominantly 2- or 2-storey and attic, 2-bay section of Sandgate. Interest is further heightened by the dominating pedimented window at 1st floor and the balustraded parapet.
