Description

Circa 1820 with later alterations. Single storey, 3-bay, rectangular-plan outbuilding with loft dovecot. Rubble; painted eaves courses, strip quoins and openings.

SW (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: square-headed entrance; timber door; ball-finialed pediment above with 4 flight holes to tympanum; porthole windows flank entrance; square-headed windows to outer right and left (formerly entrances).

NW (SIDE) ELEVATION: central, infilled Venetian window, infilled porthole windows flanking.

SE (SIDE) ELEVATION: timber door to outer right.

NE ELEVATION: not seen 1999.

16-pane timber sash and case windows. Slate piend roof. Cast-iron rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not seen 1999.

Statement of Interest

In grounds of 35 Racecourse Road (see separate list description), marked as Eaton Villa on Ordnance Survey map, 1858. Notable for its distinctive ball-finialed pediment with the flight holes within the tympanum.
