Description

Earlier/mid 19th century, with alterations by Peddie and
Kinnear, 1865. Classical bank, 3 storeys over basement,
symmetrical 5-bay (N) elevation to High Street (bays grouped
2-1-2) has pedimented central porch on paired columns, shop
to left with central door; steps and platts span basement
area. Red ashlar; band-courses between floors; sash windows,
small-paned above ground. Eaves course; cornice; corniced
stacks; piended and platformed leaded and slated roof. 3-bay
(W) flank to Bank Street (1 blocked ground floor opening);
single storey 2-bay flat-roofed addition.
Iron-railed basement area.
