Description

Dated 1882. Asymmetrical Scots Baronial former police office.
Bull-faced red ashlar with polished dressings,
roll-mouldings, strings and corbelling; some openings with
relieving arches. Tall narrow 3-storey single bay to N with
engaged conical-roofed circular stair turret rising above
eaves; main entrance with moulded round-arched wide opening
and recessed door to right of turret.
2-storey 3-bay range, latter with crow-stepped attic gable at
right corbelled above ground floor. Sash windows;
crow-stepped gables; coped stacks; slate roofs.
Single storey screen wall to left (N) with 2 blind bays. Set
behind low ashlar coping.
