George Arthur, dated 1893. 2-storey, 3-bay, rectangular-plan, symmetrical, classical office building. Red sandstone ashlar. Base course, dividing band between ground and upper storey, continuous cill courses, pulvinated eaves course, projecting cornice, balustraded parapet. Moulded architraves to openings.
W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: paired semicircular-arched windows to centre bay, channelled ashlar surround. Tuscan columns supporting entablature, flanking semicircular-arched doorway to outer bays; blind to left, timber panelled door and fanlight to right. Canted, stone mullioned, corbelled oriel window to centre of upper storey, single windows to flanking bays. Canted blocking course to centre of parapet, blind arcading, supporting consoled panel bearing carved scallop with pediment over.
E (REAR) ELEVATION: not seen 2001.
N (SIDE) ELEVATION: 5-bay, gable end extended to right. Ashlar continuation of W elevation to outer right bay. Otherwise irregular fenestration.
S (SIDE) ELEVATION: obscured by abutting building.
Plate glass timber sash and case windows. Grey slates, lead flashing. Coped gable stacks.
INTERIOR: refitted in 1970s by Monklands District Council as the Parochial Board offices.
