1847. 3-bay, symmetrical, rectangular-plan, plain gabled gothic church. Pinnacles linked by quatrefoil balustrade to front. ashlar to Yellow ashlar sandstone, squared and snecked to sides and rear. Base course. Lancet windows, chamfered reveals.
S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: stopped hoodmoulds to openings. Central bay flanked by stepped clasped buttresses terminating in pinnacles breaking eaves. Pointed arch entrance to centre, roll-moulded, chamfered reveal; string course above; stone mullioned tripartite window above; triangular panel to gable head; quatrefoil balustrade. Flanking tall lancets. Diagonal buttresses to outer bays.
N (REAR) ELEVATION: small arrow slit to gablehead, 2-storey, 3-bay, harled lean-to addition.
E (SIDE) ELEVATION: 4-bay, tall lancets except small window to ground to outer right bay.
W (SIDE) ELEVATION: mirror of E.
Modern, geometrically patterned, coloured glass. Grey slates, lead flashing. Cast-iron rainwater goods.
INTERIOR: dentil-moulded plasterwork cornice, timber panelled gallery supported upon cast-iron columns with foliate capitals and scrollwork soffit. Segmentally-arched organ recess, chamfered returns, foliate corbels supporting arch springing.
Ecclesiastical building in use as such. Replaced Airdrie's first parish church of 1789.
