Description

Early 19th century. U-plan 2-storey classical stable block with clock tower East elevation: 5 bays; droved ashlar (remainder is coursed whin rubble) with polished dressings. All openings segmental-headed; tall segmental-headed recessed panels to central and advanced outer bays,

with cart opening (pend central) below window set into arch; single windows to bays between. 12-pane sashes to ground floor, 6-pane sashes above. Cornice; blocking course, raised as shallow block pediment over outer bays. 2 symmetrically placed stacks. Cylindrical clock tower on square plinth with 4 Roman Doric columns supporting entablature; drum above with finialed dome. Parallel wings to west have square-headed

door and window openings to courtyard; eaves/lintel band; north block linked to kennels.
