Remains of a chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Originally formed a square with turrets at each corner, the chapel in middle; one of the turrets is all that survives, consisting of a vaulted basement, and later 19th century top stage. Chapel incorporated into N Wall of rectangular-plan, coped-sandstone rubble walled garden. Pair of ball-finialled and corniced, channelled ashlar gatepiers to E of chapel; extensive glasshouses to interior elevation of E wall, brick lean-to sheds with slate roofs to exterior elevation.
