Description

Mid/later 19th century. Cruciform-plan. Single storey lodge,
set above steep bank with basement to rear (E). Squared,
stugged and coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and splayed
reveals.
SYMMETRICAL W ELEVATION: door with fanlight in gabled inner
porch - narrow lights to flanks; single windows in outer
bays, windows all sashes with lying-panes. Projecting eaves;
central apex stack with diamond flues; piended slate roofs.
Panelled square gatepiers have pyramidal caps; outer piers
linked by curved quadrant walls - all ashlar. Wooden
pedestrian gates.
