1821 lintel presumably dates present arrangement of
farmhouse, but earlier fabric incorporated. Courtyard
steading. All painted/whitewashed rubble with ashlar margins
and dressings; slate roofs.
HOUSE: 2 storeys, long near-symmetrical S elevation 5 bays
(arranged as 3 bays with central door and 2 bays with door
and window), eastmost bays, at least, apparently containing
early fabric.
Modern porch. Sash window with 4-pane glazing pattern; skews;
2 end and 2 axial stacks; roof covered with graded slates and
swept over rear outshot.
STEADING: low range linked to NE angle of house; L-plan main
block, W range a tall, long 18th century barn with slit
ventilators, main roof swept over projecting barn doorway,
latter flanked by modern lean-to's.
1666 and 1668 dated stones in farmhouse bear initials of Bell
family.
