Probably circa 1828 (ie contemporary with dated garden
bridge). Symmetrically-planned rustic stable range with
2-storey tower clasped on 3 sides by main low range. All
built of whin rubble, mainly coursed, cherry-caulked and
whitewashed and projecting rock-faced blocks to margins, wide
cills, flat arches, angles and eaves. S elevation: cartway
and loft doorway in shallow-advanced tower; single bay wings
with 3-bay end elevations (on 2 levels at E); asymmetrical
and partly derelict outbuildings to N. Some windows retain
original ogival tracery. Piended slate roofs with projecting
bracketted eaves.
Late 18th/early 19th century corniced, rusticated ashlar
square gatepiers to W relate to earlier part of house.
