Earlier 19th century. Pair of 2-storey and attic, 3-bay L-plan houses, now forming part of hotel. Painted render. Base course; margins to windows.
NW (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central entrance to No 10; timber door with letterbox fanlight; single window aligned above at 1st floor. Regular fenestration to flanking bays. Canted dormers to outer left and right at attic. Central entrance to No 12; consoled, corniced doorpiece; timber door with letterbox fanlight; single window aligned above at 1st floor. Regular fenestration to flanking bays, with exception of timber door in bay to right at ground. Continuous 3-light flat-roofed dormer at attic.
Modern windows; rooflight. Grey slate roof; stone skews; broad coped stack; circular cans.
INTERIOR: not seen 1997.
Hotel also includes No 14 Main Street (unlisted) which was heightened by 2 storeys in the late 19th century. The position of the original stack to the S of No 12 can still be seen.
