Earlier 18th century with later alterations. Long 2-storey
house (originally 2) in terraced pair. Rubble sandstone with
droved ashlar dressings, harled and painted rubble to W
elevation.
W ELEVATION: originally symmetrical with 2 doors at centre, 1
blocked as window when adapted to single house; windows
flanking in outer bays and to each 3 bays under eaves above.
E ELEVATION: stair window off-centre to left; French doors
in flanking bays with 1st floor windows above; windows to
each floor in outer bays, with timber mullioned bipartite
inserted at ground to outer right.
Blank N gable onto narrow close.
12-pane glazing pattern to sash and case windows. End and
mutual gable stacks. Grey slates.
RETAINING WALL: rubble rigg wall to garden to E.
Similar to S, both originally 2 houses, currently absorbed
as one. Steeper roof pitch to Ystrad House.
