Description

Circa 1824. Quadrangular steading withclassical NW entrance range comprising 2-storey dovecot, 2 gateways, arcaded single-storey gable ends. Random whinstone rubble with contrasting droved sandstone ashlar dressings, base course, impost course, pedimented end elevations. DOVECOT: to centre; blind arched panel at ground, blind rectangular panel above, 8 flight holes with rat course above. Low pyramidal roof with overhanging brackeed eaves. Blank walls flanking; roof remaining on range to left. Square sandstone ashlar gatepiers adjoining gable ends; gables with 2 arch blind arcade, later doorway to E.

Courtyard behind with cattle courts, now much altered.
