Circa 1800. Single-storey gate lodge. Cruciform plan, harled
with contrasting painted tooled ashlar margins. Centre door
in symmetrical 3-bay west elevation (facing driveway) under
deep projecting semi-ciruclar portico formed by bowed and piended
swept roof supported by 6 painted wooden Roman Doric columns.
Flanking pointed headed windows with Y-tracery. Similar
fenestration in end gables, all bowed; lattice-pane glazing
with intersecting tracery.
Centre ridge stack; bowed piended slate roof to all gables.
Gate lodge probably contemporary to earlier Achnagairn
described as a "mansion" in 1841.
