Description

Circa 1820. 2-storey, 3-bay plain manse. Rubble sandstone
with ashlar dressings, droved quoins.
S ELEVATION: moulded surround to panelled door at centre,
with decorative fanlight; windows flanking at ground and to
each bay at 1st floor.
N ELEVATION: projecting stair well at centre, with window and
roof swept into main pitch; blank bays flanking. Flat-roofed
single storey rear extensions altered from earlier form by
Peter Whitson, circa 1952, by ground rising to N.
E AND W ELEVATIONS: each 2-bay with windows at ground and 1st
floor, those to S bay blind. E elevation directly by
graveyard.
12-pane glazing pattern to sash and case windows. Wallhead
stacks; slated piend roof with lead flashings.
STABLES: contemporary with manse; 2 piend roof blocks to SW of
manse policies, the smaller stable to N, with door to S side,
and the carriage block to S, with segmental carriage-arch.
Both in same materials as manse, abutting retaining wall to
W.
