Statement of Interest

James Loch, 1780-1855, was Commissioner of Sutherland and

Stafford Estates from 1816 until his death. The memorial

plaque states that James Loch "in the serene evening of

his life, loved this place". Site now much overgrown with

trees, but before planting had panoramic view of Dunrobin

and the Moray Firth.
