Description

1830-40, rectangular 2-storey dwelling; tooled ashlar
south and west elevations (to road and drive), coursed
rubble rear and east elevations. Entrance in regular 2-bay
west elevation; pointed headed 1st floor windows (some
blind); 4-pane glazing; single storey lean-to extension
at east. Deep string course encircles building just below
wallhead linking square crenellated mock angle turrets
combining stacks; slate roof. Gate piers; pair octagonal
tooled granite gate piers with crenellated caps linked to
Lodge (E) and hexagonal 2-storey crenellated pavilion (W)
by low coped quadrants. Cast-iron spearhead railings and
matching pair of carriage gates.
