Description

Early 19th century, rectangular single storey, 3-bay
dwelling with piended slate roof extending beyond walls
to form continuous verandah on 3 sides supported by simple
painted wooden columns. Tooled grey granite ashlar; rubble
rear.
Centre door; enlarged window to left (W) and original
casements to right (E) and in centre of E return gable,
with moulded wooden mullion and transom. Multi-pane
glazing; cnetre ridge coped stack with 'thack stane'.
Modern flat roofed single storey, single bay extension
at west.
Gates: slender cast-iron octagonal gate piers with flanking
revolving pedestrian gate. Pair decorative wrought- and
cast-iron carriage gates. Low coped ashlar quadrant walls
with spearhead railings. Square end piers with crenellated
caps.
