Early 19th century. 1 of 2 identical stone footbridges over man-made water course. Rnadom rubble with ashlar parapet. Small narrow arch flanked by drum piers, surmounted by cast-iron railings with urn and arrow-head finials to parapet.
Bridging a network of drains, shown on above plan, bringing water to ornamental lakes. J C Loudon attributes the landscape to Ramsay (as Wemyss House); see Loudoun's ENCYCLOPAEDIA OF GARDENING p1251. A-Group with other Gosford Estate buildings; see notes for Gosford House.
