Cameron Arrol contractor (inscribed plaques). 3 flat spans
carrying Lochmaben-Dalton road over River Annan. Piers and
abutments all bull-faced red ashlar, and each battered to
level of band course; pointed cutwaters to NW; parapets over
abutments also red ashlar. Rivetted plate girders.
Also in Dryfesdale Parish. David and Thomas Stevenson were
appointed engineers to the Northern Lighthouse Board in 1855.
