Description

Essentially earlier 19th century, but not all one build.
Walled garden; roughly quadrangular area enclosed by
ashlar-coped rubble-built walls, these mostly brick-lined and
with ceramic tile banding (E wall serves as road embankment),
low S wall with cast-iron railings and main gate; pedestrian
gate with (?circa 1885) pedimented gateway. Slate-roofed
lean-to at N with boiler house/potting sheds; asymmetrical
glass house ranges with cast-iron framing by Simpson &
Farmer, Glasgow.
