1770s(?). Circular rubble walls, tapering, lean-to slate roof
with crowstepped curved flanks, vaulted chamber below.
Dressed freestone to upper opening (without perches or flight
holes) and chamfered doorway. Said to retain nesting boxes
and potence.
On artificial mound above the road. Unusual form derived from
original use as a windmill (later converted).
