Description

Early 19th century (?) group of farm buildings at entry to
farmyard:-
2 storey rubble built steading, ground floor segmental arches
now infilled, plain upper windows, inset carved stone dated
1636, slated roof rubble-built pantiled sections to rear. 4
rubble-built parallel hipped roofed byres to east of above
and adjoining section running south. Pantiled roofs,
freestone dressings, wide entry with stone piers and timber
lintel in south wall. Rubble-built, polygonal horse-mill to
north at rear, still intact with some brieze block infilling.
Steep pantiled roof, curved ridge tiles rubble piers.

Inset stone on wall of steading dated 1636 with inscriptions

Possibly marriage lintel of former farmhouse.
