Early 19th century. Single, segmental-arched span over River Doon. Coursed rubble with sandstone ashlar voussoirs. String course over voussoirs. Ruinous parapet.
Said to have been built by the French Prisoners during the Napoleonic Wars. The bridge is now (2007) in a rather ruinous condition, but nevertheless contributes, as an ancillary building, to the Craigengillan Estate.
The bridge was previously incorrectly included on the list under Dalmellington Parish.
