Description

Style of William Flockhart, circa 1900, English Arts and
Crafts; dry-dashed with bull-faced rubble basecourse,
buttresses and chimney. Single storey and attic, rectangular,
5 bays by 3 bays; squat battered clasping buttresses; roof
swept down over centre rustic porch at long south side. Tiled
gambrel roof with timber-studded gables; main roof crossed by
small transverse ridge with timber-studded gables at south
side and battered chimney at north; small fleche with
weathervane near centre; deep coved cornice with scrolled
wrought iron brackets to rhones. A large segmented pedimented
dormer at each of south and east fronts; 2 pedimented dormers
at each of west and north fronts. Battered chimney set to
north of centre; small single-storey piend-roofed wing
projects from centre of north elevation.
