Pair of houses. Early C19.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, slate roofs.
PLAN: Wide frontage single depth houses, with gabled mansard roofs, set to steep sloping site which generates extra storey to rear of property.
EXTERIOR: Two storeys, attic and lower ground floor, each symmetrical three windows, all sashes. Twelve-pane sash, with over square horizontal panes, above deep twelve-pane in sunk surrounds. Centred to each wide panelled door, with tent hood on lattice supports to No.63. Plinth, channelled ground floor under broad band, end and central pilasters, upper sill band, double frieze, cornice, blocking course and parapet, coped parapets and party division, ashlar end and central stacks. Rear has steep mansard roof. No.63 has two wide-spaced raking dormers, over twelve-pane sash each side of tripartite sash in projecting bay, with twelve-pane to lower floors. No.65 has two steep gabled dormers above twelve-pane sashes.
