House with entrance to rear on site that slopes down to Kennet and Avon Canal. Mid/late C19.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, hipped slate roof with lateral stack to front right, centre ridge and rear wings.
PLAN: L-plan with lower rear wing.
EXTERIOR: Three storeys and lower ground floor; irregular four-bay front to street with blind openings in outermost bays. Stop-chamfered arrises. Two/two-pane sash windows to second floor, cornice encircles first floor over plate glass windows, blind to left, paired to right, and encircling platband over barred plate glass ground floor windows. Rear left wing, part of L plan, has hipped roof, two two/two-pane sash windows to second floor, parapeted canted bay with two plate glass sash windows, that to centre has sunblind box, right hand facet blank. Lower two storey rear right wing has hipped roof, canted south-west corner, plate glass windows facing south with sunblind boxes to first floor and porch in angle.
