Pair of end terrace houses. Early C19.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, slate roofs.
PLAN: The left hand end of an incomplete terrace; double depth plan with mansard roofs.
EXTERIOR: Two storeys, attic and basement, each two windows, all with plain sashes, and with single dormer. To right in each a panelled door with plain transom light, and a glazed lean-to roof to basement lights in paved area. Ground floor platband, first floor sill band, entablature with blocking course and parapet, coped party gables with deep ashlar stacks.
INTERIORS: Not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: across frontage, without gates, simple spiked railings, returned to No.28.
HISTORY: The terrace should have continued with another five houses in this group, and a further pair to form the end stop, corresponding with Nos 2 and 4 (qv). (See also Nos 6-18; 20-24).
