GERRANS
PERCUIL ROAD
Tregassick
Finger signpost at SW870348

II

Road signpost. Circa early C20. Cast-iron. Slender tapered post with incised barley sugar moulding, a ring moulding half-way up and necking, coving and a ball-finial at the top. Two arms with pointing fingers at the ends and the names inscribed:- Portcuil; St Anthony [old spelling of Portcuil].
This is a good early example of a county council road signpost with pointing fingers on the arms.
