5/6 The Old Rectory

GV II

Rectory. Early C19. Stucco over stone rubble walls. Hipped asbestos slate roof
with hidden valley and slightly projecting eaves. Rendered chimneys over north and
west side walls and south rear wall of service wing. 2 room, double depth central
stair plan plus service wing to west. 2 storeys. 3 window fronts south and east
with stucco plinth and corner pilaster like panelled piers. 12-pane hornless sashes.
East entrance front has original stucco doorway with pilaster and simple entablature.
Door replaced with 12-pane sash. French windows to ground floor left and right to
south front.
Interior now subdivided but retains some plaster ceiling cornices.
