Garden structure and pergola. Early C20. Square piers of pale brick with square stone caps; open 'roof' of timber joists, those above piers with shaped projecting ends. Range of 8 open bays, bay 4 with slightly arched roof, bay 7 having double piers forming shallow cross plan, with trellis frieze and open timber dome. This bay marks centre of original structure that formerly extended in matching style to right. Heavy wooden bench associated with structure but now in store, has armrests scrolled to match kneelers of house.
Included for group value with The Leys (q.v.) designed by George Walton in 1901.
