Range of 5 cottages. c1900, incorporating earlier buildings.
By Richard Harding Watt. Painted brick with slate roof.
2 storeys, 9-window range. Paired doorways to left and centre,
single doorway to right, all with overlights. Lower windows
are casements, with fixed lights. Nos 7 & 8 have very high
overlights to doors and high ground-floor windows,
accommodating to the steeply sloping site. 2 oriel windows to
upper right, the other upper windows have wood balconies
carried on struts. Archway through to rear to left. Rear
elevations also incorporate balconies beneath overhanging
roofline. Mediterranean-style end wall stacks.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Part of a remarkable development in Free Style built under the
patronage of Richard Harding Watt.
