Row of 6 cottages, 2 combined as one. Dated 1853, modernised
and porches added in late C20. Coursed red sandstone rubble
with slate roofs and 3 stone ridge stacks.
EXTERIOR: four 2-storey dwellings, one single-storey, each of
2 bays. C20 windows, mainly 2-light flush casements with
glazing bars and night vents. The two storey units have half
glazed doors in added single-storey lean-to porches. The
single storey unit has a C20 panelled door with added timber
trellis porch; window to the right is of 3 lights. First floor
tablet at centre of 2-storey range inscribed Hope Cottages
1853.
