House, now shop and office, occupying corner site. Probably
C17, remodelled early C19. Timber-framed, rendered with lined
stucco. Plain tile roof, slightly swept, with brick dentilled
eaves and central brick ridge stack.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 2-window range. On 1st floor, 4/4-pane
casements, that on left with irregular glazing bars and metal
opening casements. Ground floor: to left, two 1/1 sashes with
segmental-arched heads, channelled voussoirs and keystones,
flanking central doorcase with similar head and renewed door.
To right, double 1/1 sash with similar head, and blocked
former door. Painted shallow plinth. Right return: C20
shopfront; the gable previously described as having exposed
timber-framing, but now rendered.
INTERIOR: exposed beams and joists on ground floor; and
1st-floor timber-framed partition wall to No.10.
