Villa. c1820-50. Stucco over brick with hipped slate roof, 5
tall stucco stacks with cornices; iron balconies.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys on basement, 7 first-floor windows,
arranged 1:2:1:2:1. The outer window bays break forwards, as
do the 2-window bays. Stucco detailing includes horizontal
rustication to ground floor except to breakforwards, drawn
into 'pediments' over windows; outer first-floor windows have
arcaded stucco balconies. First floor has 6/6 sashes and blind
boxes, except to centre a 6-pane French window with divided
overlight, all with margin lights. Ground floor has outer
tripartite round-arched triple window with 2/2 round-arched
sashes and chamfered mullions, with scalloped hood. Otherwise
similar French windows and blind boxes. Basement has 6/6
sashes. Flight of roll-edged steps to solid porch with Doric
pilasters and entablature, 6-raised-and-fielded-panel double
doors with overlight. Returns have 6/6 sashes.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: to first floor centre and 2-window bays
are individual balconies with bowed rods and circles to
frieze.
