Pillar box. 1866-79. Designed by JW Penfold. Manufactured by
Cochrane Grove Company of Dudley. Cast-iron. Hexagonal letter
box with elaborate leaf decorated cresting and lettering 'VR'.

reputed to remain in the country. Other examples of the type
remain in Bayshill Road (qv), College Lawn (qv), Duoro Road
