Pair of gate-piers at carriage entrance to large country house
(qv), originally at Boringdon Hall, Boringdon Hill (qv).
Rusticated granite ashlar piers with plinths, moulded cornices
and shaped caps surmounted by ball finials. Each pier is
square on plan plus a low ramped buttress to its outer side.
Each pier has a half-domed niche to its front side.
These piers are similar to 2 sets of piers relating to
Boringdon.
