Quince Cottage
II
Cottage. Early C17 with C19 alterations. Whitewashed rubble
walls, plain wooden bargeboards and gabled pantile roof with 2
end brick stacks and one ridge stack.
PLAN: probable single-depth, through-passage, 3-room plan.
EXTERIOR: single-storey; 4-window range. Long, low-lying
building. Windows are paired 3-pane early C19 casements; plank
door to western section and porch with wooden trellised
supports and lean-to pantile roof.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Possibly two cottages originally. A rare local example of a
vernacular cottage range.
