Garden house, later coastguard look-out; now Royal National
Lifeboat Institution museum. 1800, converted and altered in
mid C20. Colourwashed brick with pyramidal slate roof and
cupola.
EXTERIOR: single storey, octagonal on plan. Steps lead to
boarded door. Three sides towards sea are fitted with C20
plate glass viewing window.
INTERIOR: plain.
HISTORY: the building, known locally as The Casino, was built
originally to serve as a garden reading house.
