Gatepier. Late C18/earlyC19. Sandstone ashlar. Freestanding
gatepier of pair (qv). Unchamfered rusticated stone shafts
with recessed corners set on 2 tier plinth with cyma recta
mould. Deep moulded cornice with 2 stage blocking courses
surmounted with ball finials. Gates now missing.
Part of gateway to Downton Hall from the east (see Stanton
Lacy CP).
