House in row. Early C18, remodelled late C18/early C19; much
reset late medieval fabric. Local stone coursed rubble, clay
pantiled roof with abutment to west and coped gable to east,
brick end chimney stacks, the east truncated and capped.
L-plan with rear right wing.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with attic, 2 bays. Sash windows of 24
small panes to all but lower bay 1, which has a flat-roofed
angled bay window, remodelled mid C20, of 1+3+1 lights having
transoms and small-pane casements. Doorway placed centrally
between bays, 6-panel door up 4 steps in plain surround, the
steps having C19 cast-iron railings of loops over pointed bars
and capped intermediate rails, with later C20 copies on low
concrete kerbing as returns along front boundary, about 1m
from house. Roof has 3 rooflights set at a high level.
INTERIOR: VAG notes reset features including 4-centred arched
head to fireplace and to niche from possible former laver;
3-bay roof with tenoned in-line purlins, collars removed;
earlier rear wing with cranked collar.
