Henstridge House

House in row. Early C19, with early C20 modifications.
Rendered and colourwashed over rubble, interlocking concrete
tiled roof with plain gable to south, partly hipped to north,
brick end chimney stacks. Double-depth plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, with attic, 3 bays. Plinth, exposed
rafter ends as quasi-dentilling, plain sash windows in broad
moulded architraves, in lower bay 3 a 2-panel door, up one
step, with plain rectangular transom-light, set in surround of
Doric pilasters, plain entablature with flat cornice hood. In
roof, set centrally, is a wide 3-sash dormer window with
single-light returns under a segmental roof, with tile-hung
apron and cheeks.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
The building is slightly set forward from the adjoining No.6
(qv).
