House with shop. Earlier C19. Doulting ashlar stonework, roof
not visible behind tall parapet, brick chimney stacks.
Double-depth plan.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 3 bays. Panelled pilasters, deep moulded
cornice, cornice, plain parapet. Later C20 shop front across
ground floor, with pair of doors in central angled recess,
with no fascia as such. Above, plain openings with sash
windows, 12-pane to first floor and 9-pane to second floor,
the central upper window being a dummy. Modern projecting sign
between bays 2 and 3, first floor.
INTERIOR: the ground floor totally remodelled to form shop,
but on first floor the front rooms have ceiling cornices and
Regency window surrounds with shutters, stairs from first to
second floor of early C19, arranged on a curved plan, original
partitions and doors at this latter level, and a mid C19
fireplace in the east room, to the rear a 12-pane Yorkshire
horizontal sash window.
