Row of 3 headstones with one headstone immediately in front
and one headstone to rear. 1700-1740. Ashlar.
From north to south: Anne Mumford, d.1739/40; segmental top
and good inscription in low-relief scrollwork border. Richard
Mumford, d.1734; shaped top and low-relief scrollwork border
with fleur-de-lys to top; good inscription with verse. Jane
Mumford, d.1720; shaped top and shield with winged figure;
incised scrollwork and slightly damaged inscription.
To rear of this headstone: Sarah Lee, d.1700, shaped top with
skull, coffin, bones and pick and shovel, with foliage to
ends. Enriched border and good inscription.
To front of Richard Mumford a C19 headstone which is not of
special architectural interest.
