Chest tomb and headstone. 1640 and c1700. Ashlar. Chest tomb
to John Cooper, d.1643; plain chest with chamfered plinth and
moulded edge to top slab. Plain balusters and panel to side
with inscription recording John Cooper, founder of a school in
Long Marston. Headstone has cartouche with scrolly frame and 2
cherubs; faint inscription.
