Terraced houses, now part of Clarges Hotel. c1825. Probably
designed by Amon Wilds and Charles Augustin Busby. Stucco.
Roof of slate.
3 storeys with attic and dormers over half basement. 4 windows
each. Stairs up to flat-arched entry with overlight, that to
No.119 set in shallow porch framed by Tuscan pilasters and
entablature. To side of each entry a full-height segmental bay
of 3-window range. All windows are flat arched. Ground floor
has banded rustication. Continuous verandah with metal concave
roof to first floor of both units, supported by Doric columns
and entablature blocks, which sit on a ground-floor terrace;
verandah enclosed by glass in C20. Sills of second and third
floor windows project. Storey band between second floor and
attic. Entablature, parapet and metal railing. 3 flat-arched
dormers of C20 date in hipped roof.
INTERIOR: not inspected. Nos 111-119 (consecutive), 122-133
(consecutive), and 133A Marine Parade (qv) form a most
important group together with the whole of Marine Square.
