House. c1830-1840, with later alterations. Pinkish-brown brick
with painted stucco facade, Welsh slate roof and cast-iron
verandah.
2 storeys, 2 first-floor windows. First floor has 6/6 sash and
3/6 sash. Ground floor: 2 steps to central entrance a
6-fielded-panel door with fanlight with radial glazing-bars
incorporating the number, within porch with Tuscan pilasters,
frieze, cornice and shallow pediment. 2 small 2/2 sashes. Wide
eaves, hipped roof, ridge stacks. Garden facade of 2 storeys,
2 first-floor windows. 2/2 sashes throughout, taller to ground
floor and with verandah with scroll motif.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: Augusta Place was laid out and built on
during the 1830s.
