Semi-detached houses. c1860. Stucco, roof of Welsh slate.
2 storeys over basement, except rear wing to No.128 of 3
storeys; No.128 3-window range, No.130 2-window range. Outer
entrance bay slightly recessed on each house. Steps up to
flat-arched entrance with overlight; No.128 has a round-arched
porch added with panelled Corinthian pilasters, archivolt and
cornice over; No.130 has pilasters and entablature. All
windows flat-arched. Full-height canted bay with bracketed
balcony to ground floor with cast-iron railings and canopies
to ground and first floors; windows over entrance with
architraves; sashes of original design throughout; bracketed
cornice and parapet; hipped roof; stacks to party walls;
No.128 has a wing added to the north-east with architraves to
all windows, sashes of original design and hipped roof.
INTERIOR: not inspected. Plaque on No.128 in memory of Magnus
Volk, inventor and electrical pioneer, who lived here
1914-1937.
